Little Carbon Footprints

16 Mar

With the tele on

They’re off

Dietary constraints to a point

for sweets are too much to give up

They exercise, they eat right

They work, they socialise

Yet something is missing

What is that nagging feeling

that wont let go?

They’re friends are married

Babies birthed

“Is that life for me?” They ask themselves

There must be something more

Sleep; Drink; Work; Eat

Trapped in a void of possibilities

Is that why they’re up late

With the tele on

They’re off

By 30 they should’ve made it

White fence, kids, the lot

It didn’t work like that

It doesn’t work like that

Kids aren’t green
